Lotus to Unveil New Circuit Car at UK Event

Lotus’s new circuit car, which it announced to be building earlier this year, will pop ’round the Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb in the UK next weekend to make its first appearance. Lotus picked the oldest racing track in the world — reportedly home to the Charlemagne 500 — to unveil its new track-day model, which is based on the Elise. A newly tweaked supercharged Toyota VVTL-i four will power the racer, which is said to go from zero to 100 in under nine seconds. No word on when the cars will go on sale.
