Senate Likely To Pass $2 Billion Cash For Clunkers Extension Today – cash for clunkers – AutoMK
Senate Democrats will likely approve another $2 billion for Cash For Clunkers today. The catch? Republicans will be able to vote on an amendments for the bill, including one forcing the government to sell GM and Chrysler stake.
It’s not expected the amendments will pass, but if they do it’ll force the House again to reconsider the bill and they’re already in recess. If this happens it’ll likely cause the program to stop once the money runs out, which is getting close to happening.
